Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN)
You'll need to provide evidence of your Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) skills. We accept one of the following as evidence:
-
For Sri Lankan Students:
-
G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Certificate or G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Certificate (or equivalent national qualifications).
-
A tertiary qualification (e.g., Diploma, Higher National Diploma, Degree) where the language of instruction was English.
-
-
For International Students:
-
Official transcripts/certificates from your home country demonstrating completion of secondary education (equivalent to Sri Lankan O/L or A/L) or a higher qualification, where the language of instruction was English.
-
IELTS, TOEFL, or other recognized English proficiency test scores may be required if your previous education was not conducted in English. (Specific score requirements will be outlined for each course).
-
You will be required to provide a copy of your evidence, which will be retained with your records.
If you don't have any of the above, you may need to complete our LLN assessment. You will be sent a link and instructions on how to access this assessment. Each initial English and Math assessment typically takes around 45 minutes, so please allow roughly an hour and a half to undertake the assessment.
Please note: Some courses have specific literacy and numeracy admission requirements. You may be required to complete the LLN assessment even if you have completed secondary education or a higher qualification. Certain courses may also require an on-campus attendance to complete your LLN test.

An educational institutions like ATA are required to conduct a Pre-Training Review before your enrolment. This helps us determine the most suitable and appropriate course for you based on several factors, including your age, previous education, capabilities, aspirations, and literacy and numeracy skills. The PTR also assesses your digital capability and any potential barriers to learning, which we can help you address.
Some courses have additional requirements, which may include an interview, a written task, or a presentation of a portfolio to assess your eligibility. Further information about interviews or portfolio presentations will be provided when you apply.
